今年度は、幼児期の孫をもつ祖父・祖母6名にインタビューを行い、質問項目の内容妥当性を検討後、37項目の質問項目を確定した。その後、保健福祉センターで実施される1歳6か月健診と3歳健診および児童会館内の子育てサロンにて調査を実施した。幼児の保護者を介して祖父593名・祖母607名へアンケート調査用紙を配布し、祖父・祖母へは文書にて研究の主旨・目的・方法、自由意思での参加について説明を行い、返却は郵送にて行った。祖父138名(有効回答率23.3%)、祖母177名(有効回答率29.2%)より有効回答が得られ、平均年齢は、祖父64.7±8.2歳、祖母62.2±5.7歳、孫の平均人数は、祖父・祖母ともに2.7±1.5人であった。居住スタイルは、「夫婦のみ世帯」が50%と最も多く、「孫と同居世帯」は10%であった。因子分析の基準をKMO値0.6以上とし、主因子法による因子分析(プロマックス回転)を行い、共通性0.16以下、因子負荷量0.4以下の項目を順次削除し、最終的に29項目・6因子からなる因子パターンが得られた。これら6因子は、予備調査で明らかとなった「祖父母となることの発達」5因子が再現され、かつ「配偶者との関係」に関する因子が抽出された。第I因子〈社会・文化的関心の拡大〉、第II因子〈世代間の親和〉、第III因子〈精神的柔和・安定〉、第IV因子〈未来継承性・自己存在感の確認〉、第V因子〈配偶者との親和〉、第VI因子〈衰えの実感〉とした。下位尺度のクロンバックα係数は、0.76-0.88であり、高い内的一貫性が示された。因子間相関では、第I～V因子間で正の相関がみられたが、第VI因子においてはみられず、第I～V因子と第VI因子には予備調査と同一の異なる潜在変数が存在し、構成概念モデルは立証された。6因子と役割満足感においては、第I～V因子では正の相関がみられ、第VI因子ではみられなかった。今後は、祖父母の心理的発達への理解と支援に向けて本尺度の活用を行い、さらに関連要因について検討を重ねていく予定である。
