亜熱帯地方に生息するヒゲノカズラ科植物ナンカクランより単離された四環性アルカロイドnankakurine A及びBの合成研究を行った。(R)-プレゴンを出発物質として、細見-櫻井反応等数工程の操作を行った後、核間位に二重結合を持つ二環性化合物へ導いた。次いで二重結合の水素添加反応を行うことにより、nankakurine類BD環部に相当する二環性化合物へ導くことができた。また、さらに数工程の変換反応を経てA環部に相当するピペリジン環部の構築を達成した。
