项目摘要

ロシアや他のヨーロッパ諸国などとの研究・史料上の影響関係を考慮に入れながら、19世紀前半のポーランド的なヴィルノ大学における歴史研究と、それが後世にリトアニアやベラルーシのナショナル=ヒストリーに与えた影響について、前年度に引き続き研究し、英語論文にまとめた。またそれを補足して国内学会で発表を行った。今年度の研究内容としては、19世紀におけるロシアやポーランドの研究が、リトアニア大公国のポーランドとの合同やカトリック化に関して相反する評価をしながらも相互に参照されながら進められたこと、帝政ロシアの公式史観に近いとはいえリトアニア大公国地域の歴史に独自性を見出した歴史解釈(西ルシ主義)から、19世紀・20世紀転換期のベラルーシのナショナル=ヒストリーが大きな影響を受けたこと(特にリトアニア大公国がルシ的な国家であったという解釈)を把握した。現在でもロシアやベラルーシの歴史教科書ではリトアニア大公国の正教・ルシの要素を重視し、リトアニアでの一般的な歴史認識とは異なっている。一方で、リトアニア大公国のポーランドとの合同や合同教会設立を評価するベラルーシの研究者も存在し、こうした親西欧的ともいえる立場の源泉の一つに19世紀初頭ヴィルノ大学の合同教会司祭の息子たちが帰されていることが分かった。また、ベラルーシでの国際移動セミナーで地方に存在する歴史遺産を見学した。自民族の過去に位置づけられる正教やベラルーシ語などにかかわりの深い遺産が顕彰されるのみならず、リトアニアの君主やポーランド化した貴族に関連する遺産であっても場合によっては保存・修復され、文化・観光資源として利用されており、顕彰の在り方は必ずしも各遺産の歴史とのみ関連しているのではなく、現代の政治・経済・社会状況に左右され、そのうえで歴史を利用した保存の理由づけがなされているといえる。
