项目摘要

本研究における主な目的は、外的な対象を認めない唯識的傾向をもつ仏教論理学派において認識のあり方がどのように理解されるのかを、認識根拠・認識結果・認識対象という三つの要素の関係性から解明しようという点にある。一昨年度および昨年度は、その前提として外的な対象を認める立場からこの問題について取り扱ったが、今年度は、仏教論理学派の大成者であるダルマキールティが唯識的立場から上記の三者をどのように捉えたのかについて、引き続きテキストを解読し包括的に考察した。そのための方法として、ダルマキールティの主要な著作の一つである『知識論決択』およびそれに対するダルモーッタラの註釈『知識論決択注』の解読を中心に研究を進めた。『知識論決択』は近年新たにサンスクリットテキストが出版されたものであるが、その解読にあたっては、既にサンスクリットテキストが出版されており、また『知識論決択』のもとでもある『知識論評釈』との比較研究というアプローチを採用した。すでに指摘されているように、ダルマキールティは、『知識論評釈』の段階においては、先師であるディグナーガの『知識論集成』の註釈という立場をとるものの、『知識論決択』に至って、内容の取捨選択および再構成を行いより明確な形で自らの思想を示している。よって、両者を比較し、さらにディグナーガの『知識論集成』を合わせて考察することによって、ダルマキールティの独自性が明らかになると考えた。その結果、ディグナーガが三つの要素を考える上で、明らかに識の二相性(能取形相(主観)と所取形相(客観))を前提としているのに対して、ダルマキールティができるだけその二相性を排除しようとする傾向があることが明らかになった。当該個所の『知識論決択』については、訳注研究として今後発表する予定である。
