项目摘要

本研究の目的は、第二次世界大戦以前の東京府の機械関連工業を対象に、経済発展に産業集積の存在がもたらした効果とその変化を明らかにすることである。本年度は分析結果を博士論文等の形でまとめる計画であった。実際に11月末に博士論文を提出し、3月に学位の認定を受けた。今年度中の研究の具体的内容は主に以下の4点であり、すべて上記博士論文に収録されている。(1)先行研究のサーヴェイと研究枠組みの整理本研究の土台となる先行研究整理を行った。そこでは特に人文地理学の分野の研究を参考にしながら、空間経済学と近年の産業集積論双方に目を配り、集積地から集積内企業が受け取り得る効果を「集積のもたらすメリット」として総合的に整理した。比較的狭い範囲の産業集積内部に注目してきた従来の集積論を客観化することにより、産業集積と広域の工業分布や「都市化の経済」との関係を論じる足掛かりをも得ることができた。(2)産業集積の実態東京市芝区に存在した機械工場(大塚工場)の経営資料を用い、産業集積内に立地する企業がどのような取引ネットワークを構築していたかを明らかにした。この成果は4月と9月のコンファレンスにおいて報告した。また、1910年代に相次いだ東京における機械工業関連の組合の結成過程を分析し、産業集積との関連を考察した。(3)危機に際する集積の効果の働き方1920年代に開始された都市計画用途地域制を事例に、産業集積が突発的なショックや継続的な制約に対して示した反応の解明を通して集積のメリットの実証を試みた。この成果を『経営史学』に発表(掲載決定済)した。(4)長期的・全国的俯瞰1902年から35年の4冊の『工場通覧』を包括的にデータ化し、戦前期日本の産業立地とその決定要因を分析した。この結果は8月の国際経済史学会(於ユトレヒト)において報告した(なお、同様のデータを用いた共同研究2つにも参加し、現在論文を作成中である)。

The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of the development of machine-related industries in Tokyo before the Second World Congress. This year's analysis results are in the shape of doctoral theses. At the end of November, the doctoral thesis was submitted, and the degree was recognized in March. The specific content of this year's research is mainly included in the following four points: (1)Advanced research and organization of this study This is a special reference for the study of human geography and spatial economics. In recent years, the theory of industrial integration has been discussed. The results of the integration of enterprises in the integration area have been obtained. The relationship between industrial agglomeration and urbanization is discussed. (2)The management data of the machinery factory (Otsuka Factory) existing in the Shiba District of Tokyo City is used, and the construction of the machinery factory in the industrial cluster is clearly stated. The results were reported in April and September. In the 1910s, the relationship between the mechanical industry and the formation process was analyzed and the relationship between the industrial accumulation and the formation process was investigated. (3)In the 1920s, urban planning began to take place, and industrial integration began to take place. The results of this study were published in the "History of History"(published decision). (4)A long-term view of the country from 1902 to 35 years of 4 volumes of "workshop overview" including the analysis of the reasons for the decision of the industrial site of Japan in the early stage The results were reported by the International Society for Economic History in August (in the journal).
