项目摘要

本研究は、綿織物の産業集積を形成している愛媛県今治市周辺地域（今治タオル）と大阪府泉佐野市周辺地域（泉州タオル）の二大タオル産地を研究対象として、集積内の技術発展や商品開発などのイノベーションがどのような集積の効果から生じているのかを明らかにし、分業体制でモノづくりに取組む中小企業によるイノベーション・ネットワークについて歴史的変遷を踏まえながらその構造を明らかにすることが目的である。上記の目的のもとで令和4年度は、今治と泉州の両タオル産地におけるヒアリング調査を行った。すでに終了している特許データベースを使った定量調査を踏まえ、統計分析では見えてこない部分について定性調査を現在実施している。令和4年度の具体的なヒアリング対象は、①特許データに出願はないが産地のイノベーター的存在の技術者や経営者、②特許等を一部取得している技術者や企業に対してであり、ヒアリング先の詳細については以下の「現在までの進捗状況」に記載している。ただ、ヒアリングを行う際にまずはその依頼のために訪問したヒアリング先もあり、これらの対象者については令和5年度に実質のヒアリングを行う。質問事項は、主にa)属性、b)技術・商品開発の内容、c)技術・商品開発等の契機や経路、d)関係する企業内外の団体や制度、e)産業財産権制度を利用しない理由などである。②のヒアリングについての質問事項は、a)属性、b)技術・商品開発の内容、c)技術・商品開発等の契機や経路、d)関係する企業内外の団体や制度、e)産業財産権制度を利用するか否かの判断要因などである。ヒアリングはまだ途中段階であり今年度も継続予定であるが、イノベーションの創出経路と関わる産地のネットワーク構造における変容が時代の潮流とともに窺える。この点についてさらに洞察を加えていきたい。
