项目摘要

平成23年度は研究代表者の急逝により,研究成果の取りまとめの段階で大きな混乱が生じたことを,まず始めにお断りしておく.研究代表者はデータの収集を最期まで精力的に行っており,本課題に関連する未発表の研究成果も幾つか持っていたと思われるが,それらについては分からなくなってしまった。平成23年度に発表した研究成果は査読付き国内学術誌掲載論文1本,国際学会発表1件,国内学会発表3件である.査読付き国内学術誌掲載論文は,某大学経済学部生の成績データを用いて,経済学の成績に対する数学学習の効果を,数学履修が自己選択であることを考慮して計測したものである.これまで複数の学術誌の査読の過程で,個人情報の取り扱いや分析手法の正当性について疑問が出され,論文の採択が見送られてきたが,最終的にほぼ当初の形のままで,統計数理研究所の機関紙「統計数理」に採択された.教員が学生の成績データを分析し,得られた知見を研究成果として公表することには何ら問題がないが,自らデータを収集することが少ない経済学の分野では,個人情報保護に過剰反応していたようである.本論文が先行例となったことで,成績データを用いた実証研究の活発化が期待される.学会発表論文のうち3件は,タイあるいはカンボジアの個票データを用いた教育経済学の実証研究である.残りの1件は次年度の新規の科研費申請をにらんだ健康経済学の実証研究である.結果的に新規の科研費は獲得が内定したものの,研究代表者の急逝により辞退することとなった.
