Excessive hepatectomy close to the hepatic reserve function has a risk to induce postoperative liver failure. The mechanisms inducing hyperbiliruninemia with respect to anion transporters were examined in rats after 90% hepatectomy and found that excreting transporter expression (Bsep, Mrp3) but not the uptake transporters (NTCP, OATP) showed a significant difference compared to 70% hepatectomy. Moreover, Biomarkers (Glypican-3, HAI-1) influencing prognosis were established in hepatocellular carcinoma.

接近肝脏储备功能的过度肝切除有诱发术后肝功能衰竭的风险。在90%肝切除后的大鼠中检查了关于阴离子转运体的诱导高尿酸血症的机制，发现与70%肝切除相比，排泄转运体表达（Bsep，Mrp 3）而不是摄取转运体（NTCP，OATP）显示出显著差异。此外，在肝细胞癌中建立了影响预后的生物标志物（Glypican-3，HAI-1）。
