本研究は、都市集合住宅の環境負荷低減と住宅配置により形成された都市空間の環境負荷低減のことを考え、環境負荷の低い都市空間を形成できる計画法を求める研究である。都市の環境負荷の問題を解決する技術には、まず空間配置の問題がある。技術の発展に伴い、環境負荷の低い住宅が実現できるが、その上で、適切な住宅配置ができれば、都市全体の環境負荷の削減目標も実現できる。目標達成後余剰分の環境負荷枠は生活質を高めるように使え、コンパクトシティ負の副次効果が減らせると考えられる。本研究は、環境負荷はより小さく、生活の質はより高くなるように、住宅建築の単体と都市全体の両側から考え、環境負荷の低い都市空間を形成できる計画法を求めることが目的とする。昨年度から始まった調査を続き、地方都市の岡山市を中心として、供給された都市集合住宅の立地・規模・形状、個別住戸の戸型についての調査を行った。調査対象は2000年岡山市「住宅マスタプラン」で決められ「中心市街地」の範囲内での現存すべでの分譲マンションである。まだ、集合住宅の敷地の従前用途も調査し、近年都心部の土地利用の変化も考察した。これらのデータを基にして、「一般世帯の年間CO2排出量の推算方法」を提案し、集合住宅の供給によって、都市全体の環境負荷(世帯の生活からの負荷)をどのように変化してきたことを解明する。その成果を2010年1月に行った国際会議で論文投稿し、発表することになった。
