Basic study on the normative aspects of multiculturalism

本研究通过对以多元文化主义为宪法原则的日本和加拿大的比较研究，试图阐明多元文化主义在日本宪法中的规范方面，特别是多元文化主义与平权行动之间的规范关系。这项研究的结论如下：至少受到政府歧视的群体以及该群体的个别成员，由于歧视而难以维持该群体的文化，应该有权要求采取某些扶持行动。

This study tried to clarify the normative aspects of multiculturalism under the constitution of Japan, especially the normative relationship between multiculturalism and affirmative action, through the comparative study between Japan and Canada in which multiculturalism is provided as the constitutional principle. The conclusion of this study is as follows : at least the group, as well as the individual members of the group, which have been discriminated by the government and the maintenance of the culture of the group is difficult as a result of the discrimination, should have the right to claim certain affirmative action.
