Study on Cooperative Effect Between Metals of Heterodinuclear Organotransition Metal Complex

Series of heterodinuclear complexes having a platinum(palladium)-transition metal bond have been prepared and their chemical and catalytic activities are examined. Reversible organic group transfer, enhance CO-insertion, and regio- and stereo-selective ring-opening desulfurization of S-containing small rings are discovered. On the basis of these results, new catalytic reactions such as carbonylation of thietanes and Markovnikov type hydrometallation of transition metal hydrides are developed and their mechanisms are clarified.
