A Criticism of Career Education in Japan : Concerning "Communication Ability"

近十年来，日本政府大力推行职业教育。它期望学校能培养孩子们的“沟通能力”。政府解释说，这项政策是根据中央教育委员会的报告制定的，该报告反映了商界的利益。批判性社会理论一方面揭示了政策是为了破坏交往行为的潜力，另一方面也提出了一个如何认识一个行为是否具有相当的交往能力的问题。

In this decade Japanese government has promoted Career Education. It expects for schools to develop children's "communication ability". The government explains that this policy is based on the report from the Central Council for Education, which reflects interests of business community. Critical social theory on the one hand reveals that the policy is to spoil potentiality of communicative action and on the other hand raises a problem of how to recognize an action as fairly communicative or not.
