项目摘要

平成22年度は、マレーシアで現地調査を行いつつ、博士論文『近代国家とイスラーム-20世紀マレーシアのファトワーに見られる国家とウラマーの対立-』および『イスラム世界』への投稿論文を執筆した。研究目的は、近現代マレーシアを事例として、近代的国家が成立し、発展していく中で、ムスリム社会がどのように対応してきたかを明らかにすることであり、特にイスラーム学者たち(ウラマー)のネットワークが主要な研究対象となった。平成22年7月から平成23年1月にかけて行った現地調査では、聞き取り調査、現代マレー語資料及びジャウィ(マレー語のアラビア文字による表記)文献といった一次資料収集を行った。その結果、マレーシアの統治構造の概要、特に連邦レベルの政策決定過程や連邦と州の関係を明らかにし、イスラームに関連する政策が形成、実施されていく過程を明らかにした。同時に、中東及びマレーシアにおけるアラビア語、マレー語、ジャウィ文献を含むイスラーム政治思想に関する一次資料の読解を行い、イスラーム学に基づくテキストの厳密な読解と分析を行った。世界のイスラーム思想潮流の中にマレーシアを位置づけることで、20世紀における中東からマレーシアへのイスラーム政治思想の伝播に関して、研究成果を挙げることができた。特に80年代以降のマレーシア政現地治で重要となった「イスラーム国家論」と「ウラマーの統治論」に焦点を当てて、論文にまとめた。これらの研究の成果は、博士論文『近代国家とイスラーム-20世紀マレーシアのファトワーに見られる国家とウラマーの対立-』および『イスラム世界』に掲載された論文「マレーシアの公的ファトワー管理制度-近代国家によるシャリーア解釈権独占の試み-」で発表されるとともに、国内,国外の学術会議において口頭で発表された。
