We analyzed the economic effects of infrastructure such as irrigation facilities and roads on the production of rice, consumption, income and savings of farmers in rural areas. We found that development of irrigation facilities and roads provides incentives to expand agricultural production for farmers. And a financial intermediation function such as connecting funds to investment for the development of roads and irrigation facilities in rural areas is required.
