Learning of Abstract Programming Concepts based on Better Trial and Error Experiences

面向对象程序设计语言(OOPL)的学习对于初学者来说是一件困难的事情。我们提出了一种OOPL概念模型的可视化方法，允许初学者以直观的方式操作可视化的模型。新手程序员可以看到与操作相对应的源代码片段。我们开发了一个名为Anchor Garden(AG)的系统来实现该方法，并在CS1课程结束时进行了实验。我们证实，该系统显著增加了对对象和变量关系的理解。

Learning of object-oriented programming language (OOPL) is difficult for novice programmer. We proposed a method to visualize concept models of OOPL, and allow the novice programmer to manipulate the visualized models by intuitive manner. The novice programmer can see snippets of source code corresponding to the manipulation. We developed a system named Anchor Garden (AG) to realize the method, and conducted an experiment at the end of CS1 course. We confirmed the system significantly increase the understanding of object and variable relationship.
