The development and practice of interactive Puppet Theater System for hearing-impaired people

我们开发了互动木偶剧院。互动木偶剧场是专为听障人士欣赏而设计的木偶表演系统。该系统有两个特点可以让听力障碍人士欣赏木偶戏。首先，为了确保听觉信息的传达，我们将对话（文本数据）投影到木偶戏的背景上。然后，使用 Kinect，我们让观众通过身体动作参与到故事中。我们对师范生和听障学生进行了实验。根据他们的回答进行的问卷调查结果证明，该系统能够让师范生和听障学生充分享受互动木偶剧的乐趣。

We developed Interactive Puppet Theater. Interactive Puppet Theater is a puppet show system that is designed for appreciation by hearing-impaired people. This system have two characteristics to allow the hearing impaired people to enjoy a puppet show.First, to ensure that aural information is conveyed, we project the dialogues (textual data) onto the background of the puppet show. Then, using Kinect, we allow the audience to participate in the story through physical movements. We experimented it with normal students and hearing-impaired students.The result of the questionnaire based their answers proved that the system had the possibility to enable normal students and hearing-impaired students to enough enjoy Interactive Puppet Theater.
