Japanese statistics of internal migrations are represented by 'the Report on Internal Migration' from 'Basic Resident Registrations of each municipality and 'the Tabulation on Internal Migration' from Population Census '. Neither of them contains numbers classified by marital status and the differential migration patterns among never married, currently married, widowed and divorced populations are not clarified. Thus, their influences on regional population structure stay unexplained. This research focused on City Sapporo in two census intervals 1995-2000 and 2005-2010 as a case study. The estimation models are developed on the one hand and the own re-calculations are performed by the population census data, which were requested for the Statistics Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, on the other hand. This study succeeded in explicating the net-migration rates by marital status in Sapporo in two census intervals and created the new research field in demography.

日本的国内迁移统计数据以《各市町村居民基本登记表》的《国内迁移报告》和《人口普查》的《国内迁移统计表》为代表。两者都没有包含按婚姻状况分类的数字，并且未阐明从未结婚、已婚、丧偶和离婚人口之间的不同移民模式。因此，它们对区域人口结构的影响仍然无法解释。本研究以札幌市 1995-2000 年和 2005-2010 年两次人口普查间隔为案例研究。一方面开发估算模型，另一方面根据总务省统计局要求的人口普查数据进行自己的重新计算。这项研究成功地解释了札幌市在两次人口普查间隔期间按婚姻状况划分的净迁移率，并开创了人口学的新研究领域。
