A study on the development of social welfare support program that promotes father's childcare participation

本研究通过对日本、中国和韩国的定性和定量调查，发现父亲在幼年参与育儿对父亲和母亲的效能感、婚姻满意度、心理健康和生活质量都有积极的影响。需要通过以下四个主要活动推进社会福利支持计划，以促进父亲参与育儿：(1)培训父亲的父母角色观念，并开展启蒙活动，形成所谓的“全社会育儿”的育儿观；(2)通过当地育儿支持者的家访了解家庭环境，并提供符合需要的信息；(3)改善对该地区父亲和育儿力量的育儿支持；(4)建立全社会支持父亲参与育儿的制度，包括改善工作环境。

This study,through both qualitative and quantitative investigations in Japan,China and Korea,shows that father's childcare participation during early childhood has positive impacts on the feeling of efficacy,marital satisfaction,mental health,and quality of life(QOL)for both father and mother.It will be required to advance the social welfare support program to promote father's childcare participation by the following four major activities:(1)training of parental role concepts for father and enlightening activities for childcare outlook formation of so-called"childcare by the whole society";(2)understanding of the home environment through home visiting by the local parenting supporters and provision of information that meets the needs;(3)improvement of childcare support for father and childcare force in the region;and(4)construction of a system for the whole society to support father's childcare participation including work environment improvement.
