Development of biomarker and the new therapeutic method for Duchenne muscular dystrophy

在Duchenne肌营养不良症(DMD)中，血管平滑肌功能障碍引起的微循环异常影响了疾病的发病机制。DMD患者外周血中反映微循环异常的CD34阳性细胞数在低年龄组有升高趋势。而应用磷酸二酯酶5A抑制剂后外周血中CD34阳性细胞数的变化不明显，从而通过影响微循环改善DMD的病情。有必要评估外周血CD34阳性细胞计数是否可作为DMD治疗的标志物。

In Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), microcirculation abnormalities due to the vascular smooth muscle dysfunction influence the pathomechanism of the disease. The number of the peripheral blood circulation CD34-positive cell counts, which reflects microcirculation abnormalities, shows a higher tendency in low age group of DMD. However, the changes of number of peripheral blood CD34-positive cell counts showed no significant change in the phosphodiesterase 5A inhibitor administration for the purpose of improvement of DMD condition by affecting the microcirculation improvement. It is necessary to evaluate the number of peripheral blood CD34-positive cell counts whether it is useful as the DMD treatment marker.
