Elucidation of the subgroup existence of HLA class II polymorphism (DP, DQ, DR) in Kawasaki disease patients

本研究旨在检测川崎病（Kawasaki disease， KD）患者的HLAⅱ类亚型及其粪便超抗原（superantigen, SAg）基因，证明存在对各种SAg敏感的HLAⅱ类亚型亚群，证明HLAⅱ类亚型是与川崎病发病相关的宿主因素之一。具体而言，我们从KD患者和对照儿童粪便中提取的所有DNA中检测了SAg基因，并从他们的血液样本中提取的DNA中检测了HLA II类亚型。研究SAg与HLAⅱ类亚型的关系。但是，由于选择合适的HLA分析系统需要时间，我们在开始实验方面落后了。此外，由于这三年KD病例略少，所以样本收集不够。因此，我们目前正在研究这个主题。我们想多收集一点样本，继续这项研究。

In this study, we aimed to examine HLA class II subtype of Kawasaki disease (KD) patient and superantigen (SAg) gene detected from his stool, and to prove that there were subgroups of HLA class II subtype which were sensitive to each SAg and that HLA class II subtype was one of the host factors related to KD onset. Concretely, we detected SAg genes in all DNA extracted from KD patients' and control children's stools, and detected HLA class II subtypes in DNA extracted from their blood samples. And we studied the relation between SAg and HLA class II subtypes. But we were behind with starting an experiment because choice of appropriate analyzing system for HLA took time. Furthermore, samples did not gather enough because there was slightly little number of cases of KD for these three years. Therefore we are studying this theme at present. We want to collect samples a little more and continue this study.
