Pain Assessment Tool Development for ICU Patients with Difficulty in Verbal Communication.

本研究旨在为有语言交流困难的重症监护病房（ICU）患者开发一种疼痛评估工具。疼痛评估工具需要对疼痛程度进行评估，并确定疼痛的位置。采用日文版危重护理疼痛观察工具（CPOT）对疼痛程度进行观察，并进行信度、效度和反应性测试。患者康复后接受随访。日文CPOT量表在信度、效标相关效度、歧视效度、趋同效度和反应性方面具有显著的差异。对患者的访谈有助于了解伤口疼痛、引流管插入点疼痛、背部疼痛、口渴、不适等情况。新的疼痛评估工具是利用患者访谈和日文版CPOT的信息相结合而创建的。

This study is aimed at the development of a pain assessment tool for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients who have difficulty with verbal communication. The pain assessment tool needed an evaluation of the degree of pain and identifying the location of the pain. The degree of pain was observed using the Japanese version of The Critical-care Pain and Observation Tool (CPOT), and tested reliability, validity and responsiveness. The patients were interviewed after recovery.The Japanese version of the CPOT identified inter-rater reliability, criterion-related validity, discrimination validity, convergence validity and responsiveness. The interview with patients helped to understand such things as wound pain, pain at the drain insertion point, back pain, thirst, malaise, et al. The new pain assessment tool was created Using information combined from patient interviews and the Japanese version of the CPOT.
