The role of basic fibroblast growth factor in regulation of metabolism of adipocyte

我们观察到碱性成纤维细胞生长因子通过低氧诱导因子-1 α的表达来调节脂肪细胞的糖代谢，表明低氧诱导因子-1 α的表达参与了糖尿病的发生发展。因此，我们制备了脂肪细胞特异性缺氧诱导因子-1 α基因敲除小鼠并观察其表型。与野生型小鼠相比，这些小鼠在肥胖条件下表现出改善的胰岛素敏感性和葡萄糖耐量。提示缺氧诱导因子-1 α在肥胖性糖尿病的发生发展中起重要作用。

We observed that basic fibroblast growth factor dysregulates glucose metabolism of adipocyte via expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha, indicating that expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha involves in development of diabetes mellitus. Therefore, we prepared an adipocyte-specific hypoxia inducible factor-1alpha knockout mice and observed the phenotype. The mice exhibited improved insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance under obese conditions compared with wild type mice. These results suggested that hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha plays an important role in development of obesity-induced diabetes.
