项目摘要

本研究は、学習支援施設・学習資源として位置付けられ、社会貢献が認められる美術館に焦点を合わせている。「見る」(視覚)行為が前提として捉えられている「鑑賞」という体験に疑問を投げかけるため、視覚障がい児の美術鑑賞方法を通じてその体験を考察することで、再度「鑑賞」体験を見直すことを目的としている。既存の鑑賞方法に目を向け、「鑑賞している」ととらえられる行為を明らかにすることを行った。平成25年度の成果は以下の通りである。①英米美術館の報告書等の資料の分析、およびその考察の論文化を行った。平成24年度実施した海外調査等を通じ入手した資料に基づき、美を感じるために作られた「触覚」をめぐる言説について考察した。英米におけるタッチ展という展示形態に注目した。3人の人物の言説を通じて、触覚が、どのように美を感じ取る感覚、そして美術作品を享受するための感覚としても示されるようになってきたのか、その歴史過程の一端を明らかにした。②愛知県における美術館の教育普及事業の調査および関連講演会等での意見交換を行った。名古屋ボストン美術館・名古屋市美術館や愛知県立美術館を中心に愛知県で行われる視覚障がい者向けのワークショップの調査を行った。その中でもボランティア団体YWCAの取り組みは、ミュージアム・アクセス・ビューが進めてきた「対話による美術鑑賞」の誕生に大きく関与しており、両団体の関係者にインタビューを行うことで、考え方あるいは目指す方向性の違いを明らかにした。また、愛知県立美術館で行われたシンポジウムシンポジウム「地域と美術館をつなぐ～美術を通した学びから～」に参加し、調査できなかった美術館の事業についての知見を得るとともに、イギリス・アメリカの取り組みの状況を加えた意見交換を行った。③米国NYの美術館を中心にFW調査を行いった。文献資料収集に加え作品の展示方式やタッチツアーに含まれない作品との相違点なども調査した。④米国の美術館が作成したAudio descriptionの内容分析を行った。また、ADの内容分析を参考に実際ADのテクストを作成し発表したことで、芸術学・表象論を専攻する研究者からいくつかの示唆を受けた。③・④に関しては今後学会等で発表していく予定である。
