Characteristics of reading hiragana charactors, words and nonwords aloud in children with and without developmental dyslexia

本研究考察了日本发展性阅读障碍儿童与普通班儿童平假名字、词和非词阅读的特点，并考察了非词阅读的认知功能。结果显示，在平假名非词阅读方面，DD儿童的平假名字符和单词阅读难度较大，非词阅读的准确性显著低于正常班级的儿童。语音和视觉信息能力都可能影响平假名非词阅读。

This study investigated the characteristics of hiragana charactor, word and nonword reading between Japanese children with developmental dyslexia (DD) and children in regular classes and examined the cognitive functions in nonword reading. Results revealed that hiragana nonword reading was more difficulty hiragana charactor and word reading and children with DD were significantly less accurate in nonword reading than children in regular classes. Both phonological and visual information abilities possibly affected hiragana nonword reading.
