本年度は、主として満洲国期において政治的意見形成/世論操作に重要な役割を果たしたと考えられるラジオ放送に関する資料を収集した。それに加えて、満洲国期成立以前における政治的意思表明の重要な運動として排日運動に関する先行研究と資料を収集・整理し、読解に務めた。まず、満洲国期にラジオ放送を管掌していた満洲電信電話株式会社に関する資料を郵政博物館資料センターやNHK放送博物館にて収集・整理した。排日運動に関する資料は国立国会図書館や中国国家図書館にて、資料調査を行い、収集した。なお、前者の満洲電信電話株式会社に関する研究成果は、『メディア史研究』に投稿し、現在審査中である。また、2014年9月にイギリスのケンブリッジ大学にてバラク・クシュナー教授が主宰する“Breakdown of the Japanese Empire and the Search for Legitimacy”に参加し、“The Legacy of the Manchurian Telegraph and Telephone Company and the Eastern Asia Broadcasting Network.”というタイトルで研究報告を行い、多数の海外研究者と情報交換を行った。この学術会議の成果は2015年度以降に海外の出版社から書籍としてまとめられ、出版される予定になっている。さらに、イギリス側の資料から満洲国末期のメディアに関する調査するため、British Library及びイギリス国立公文書館での資料調査も併せて実施した。本研究と関連して戦前期に北京で発行されていた日本人経営の華字新聞『順天時報』に関する研究会に積極的に参加し、関連研究者とネットワークを構築して情報収集を行い、議論を深めつつあるところである。『順天時報』研究会には2015年度以降も継続して参加する予定である。
