家計内における資源分配行動として、これまで行ってきた『消費配分』決定の分析に加え、夫婦の時間配分決定のメカニズムを探るべく実証分析を試みた。具体的な研究としては①通勤時間が夫婦の市場労働や家事労働時間の配分に与える影響、②夫の転勤が妻の労働選択や夫婦の時間配分に与える影響の2つの課題を掲げた。前者は大阪大学小原美紀教授との共著論文として内閣府の経済分析に掲載されている。後者については分析の途上であり、特別研究員としての任期終了後も継続して行っていく予定である。①の研究では，通勤時間の変化が夫婦の市場労働および家事労働の供給に与える影響を分析した．分析には，公益財団法人家計経済研究所による「消費生活に関するパネル調査」の1995年から2015年までのデータを使用した．共働き世帯を対象とした分析の結果，本人の通勤時間が長くなれば，夫と妻それぞれの市場労働時間が長くなり，家事労働時間は短くなることが示された．加えて，配偶者の通勤時間が長くなれば自分の市場労働時間を減らし，家事時間を増やすことがわかった．推計値の詳細を見ると，通勤時間の増加による配偶者の労働供給抑制効果だけでなく，妻の家事労働供給は彼女の市場労働供給と比べて非弾力的であることや，通勤時間に対する家事時間の弾力性は夫で大きいことが示された．また，夫が配偶者の通勤時間に反応して家事労働時間を変化させることは1990年代には見られておらず，2000年代に変化した日本家計の特徴であることがわかった．②の研究では、上記のデータを用いて、転居を伴う転勤という本人の意思に依らない外生的な居住環境・労働環境の変化が生じた際に、夫婦がどのような行動を選択するのか明らかにすることを試みている。具体的に現在は、（ⅰ）夫の転勤前後での妻の働き方の変化、（ⅱ）夫の転勤が夫婦の時間配分に与える影響を分析している。
