申請者は混合寡占市場における価格競争数量競争の比較に関する研究をおこなっている。本年度は需要の不確実性が混合寡占市場に与える影響について研究を行った。結果として、需要関数の切片と傾きに関する不確実性が存在しそれら不確実性に負の相関があると仮定すると、価格数量の選択を内生化したモデルにおいて価格競争が均衡となるという混合複占で得られていた結果が必ずしも成立しないことを示した。この結果によって混合寡占市場においてどのような不確実性が企業の価格数量の選択に影響を与えるのかが示された。この研究成果は査読付きの国際的な雑誌に投稿中である。価格数量の選択をより一般的にした供給関数の選択を考えたモデルを部分民生化された公企業（社会厚生を考慮する私企業）が存在する市場に応用した研究を行った。結果として、一般的なモデルを用いて社会厚生を目的関数の一部に含む企業の供給関数均衡をcharacterizeした。さらに線形のモデルを用いて、混合複占市場における最適民営化政策について議論した。結果として、公企業が目的関数として社会厚生を考慮する割合が増加すると、各企業とも水平に近い供給関数を選択するので、供給関数競争において完全国有化が最適な民営化政策であることを示した。こうした研究は既存研究で知られている数量競争では部分民営化が最適であるという結果と対照的である。こうした結果は電力市場などの実証研究においてどのようなモデルを採用するのかといった問題にも一定の示唆を含んでいると考える。この研究成果も国際的な学術誌に投稿中である。こうした研究に1年目での研究成果を合わせたものをまとめ博士論文’Essays prices versus quantity in mixed oligopolies’としてまとめ博士号を所得した。
