项目摘要

本論文では、「同一産業内の多国籍企業は地場企業にとって生産における競争相手であるため、地場企業がそれらの多国籍企業から新しい知識を吸収するには、時間等の生産活動にとっての機会費用が増大するのではないか」という仮説をたて、モデル化した。本研究の理論モデルにより、FDIのスピルオーバー効果は短期的にはないが、長期的には投資を受け入れた途上国の生産性成長によい影響を与えることが示された。2016年度の研究では既に中国の産業別データを利用し、モデルを実証している。しかし、産業レベルのデータのようなマクロデータには内生性問題等の弱みがある。そのため、昨年（2017年）の4月から７月にかけて、頑健性チェックとして様々な実証方法を試し、実証部分をより繊細化した。そして昨年度５月から７月にかけての３か月間、垂直的なスピルオーバー効果についての分析も始めた。垂直的なスピルオーバー効果とは、川上産業・川下産業における地場企業に与えるスピルオーバー効果である。多くの経済学者は、川下産業における多国籍企業には生産コストを下げるために、生産戦略の一つとして、自発的に川上産業における投資受容国の現地企業に新技術などを移転するインセンティブがあると議論している。つまり、FDIの垂直的なスピルオーバー効果は正であると考えられる。この観点に基づき、川上産業・川下産業というバーティカルな技術移転のチャンネルをモデル化し、多国籍企業がこのチャンネルを通じて地場企業の生産性に与える効果を分析し、川下産業における多国籍企業が現地企業の生産性成長にポジティブな影響を与えるということを明らかにした。
