5本の論文が学術誌に掲載され、2本の論文がアクセプトされた。そのうち、4本の論文では新技術の導入を考えている企業の行動に焦点を当てた分析を行った（①）。また、3本の論文では、新技術を持つ企業の戦略的行動を分析した（②）。①市場の競争環境と企業の新技術導入インセンティブの関係を分析した。市場の競争と新技術導入インセンティブの関係については様々な分析結果がある。競争の激化が新技術導入を促進するという主張もあれば、逆に、競争の激化が新技術導入を抑制するという主張もある。また、非線形の関係を導出した研究も存在する。すなわち、競争と新技術導入インセンティブのU字型、または逆U字型の関係である。本研究では、これまでに無いモデルを使い、競争と新技術導入インセンティブの関係を分析した。分析の結果、一定の条件下で競争と新技術導入インセンティブの逆U字型の関係を導出した。これまでに理論分析を用いて競争と新技術導入インセンティブの逆U字型の関係を導出したものは見当たらず、本研究の特色である。加えて、経済政策や新技術導入費用に関する分析も行った。企業による新技術の導入は、経済にとって重要な意味を持つ。発展途上国においては、貧困改善に生産技術の向上が重要である。本研究は新技術の導入が進みやすい市場環境を明らかにしたため、経済政策に資すること出来ると考えられる。②新技術を持つ企業の戦略を分析した。新技術を持つ企業が新たな市場で利潤の獲得を目指す場合、新技術を用いて参入するか、旧技術を使って生産している既存企業へ新技術をライセンシングするか、戦略的に判断すると考えられる。それぞれの戦略が採用される条件を明らかにした企業の参入またはライセンシングの戦略的な選択行動は、経済に異なった影響を与える。本研究は、技術の大きな不均衡が存在する世界経済の諸問題を考える上で重要な役割を果たすと考えられる。
