本研究では、労働者の意識に焦点を当てて、中国、日本を中心に東アジアにおける労働運動の特徴を分析し、停滞要因を探究した。2年目にあたる本年度は、外国人特別研究員のJake Lin氏の任期が約半年（2019年4月1日から8月19日）しかないため、成果の完成と社会的還元に専念した。まずLin氏は、前年度3月末にPalgrave Macmillan社に提出した英文単著について、編集部経由で詳細な査読を受けた。この査読者の指摘に対応して、修正を繰り返した結果、2019年8月に刊行することができた。この作業と並行して、6月にシカゴで開催された国際シンポジウム Global Studies Association of North America の第18回年次大会に出席し、"Political Compromise or Complicity： The Psyce of Resistance from the Chineses Sweatshop of the World”と題する報告を行った。また昨年度から執筆していた投稿論文"Precarity, Cognitive (Non)Resistance, and the New Conservative Chinese Workers"は、7月9日に英文の国際学術雑誌 The Journal of Contemporary Asia　第49巻第4号に掲載された。

This study focuses on the characteristics and stagnation of the movement in China, China and Japan This year, Jake Lin's term of office as Special Fellow for Foreigners is about half a year (April 1, 2019 to August 19), and his achievements are complete. Lin's book was published by Palgrave Macmillan at the end of March of the previous year. The results of this survey were published in August 2019. The conference was held in June 2010 and was attended by the Global Studies Association of North America at its 18th annual conference, entitled "Political Compromise or Complexity: The Psychology of Resistance from the China Sweatshop of the World." A paper entitled "Precarity, Cognitive (Non)Resistance, and the New Conservative Chinese Workers" was published in The Journal of Contemporary Asia, Volume 49, No. 4, July 9.
