项目摘要

平成29年度は、1)基礎スキル習得を促し、英単語綴り困難を改善する支援教材の開発、2)支援教材を用いた支援の実施及び効果の検証について検討を行った。1)については、基礎スキルの習得を促すことで英単語綴り困難を改善する教材を開発した。音素の混成スキルに関しては、アルファベット1文字ごとの音素を、日本語発音を手掛かりとした近似カナ表記(島岡丘(1994)　『中間言語の音声学』)によって示し、文字と音の連合形成が図れるよう工夫した。英単語の流暢な視覚的認知を高める工夫としては単語完成課題を導入し、正書法知識に関しては、基本的な綴りの規則の説明を教材中に示し、同じ規則を持つ単語をまとめて指導した。2)については、開発した教材を用い、公立中学校の通常学級に在籍する生徒168名を対象に単語の綴り学習支援を実施し、反復学習の結果と比較することで効果を検証した。学習直後の単語テスト成績が下位10%の生徒に関しては、反復書字によって学習した単語と比較して、開発した支援教材によって学習した単語の正答率が有意に高い結果であった。次いで、下位10%タイルの成績を示した生徒のうち、追加調査への参加同意が得られた8名を対象に、本支援教材による基礎スキルの習得における効果及び単語の綴り習得における効果の検証を実施した。まずはローマ字を手掛かりとした音素の混成スキル及び音素の混成のみによって綴ることのできる単語(例：bed, penなど)の学習支援を実施した。結果、8名全員で音素の混成スキルが向上し、反復学習と比較して本支援教材によって学習した単語の正答率が高い結果であった。以上の結果より、基礎スキルの習得を目的とした英単語綴り学習支援教材によって、英単語の学習方略として利用できる基礎スキルの習得が可能になることが示され、英単語綴り困難の改善に一定の効果が得られた。
