昨年度は、筆記というコミュニケーションの形式に着眼することで社会性を種々の角度から勘案するという本研究の課題のもと、主に芸術・文化の領域、特に文学の分野に焦点をあてて問題意識を醸成したが、本年度は、研究の基幹である筆記/発話という表出の形態が議論において占める位置をできる限り正確に見極めるべく、哲学・心理学・宗教学・自然科学の分野の文献を渉猟し、意味論的な領域において問題意識や論点に漏出やずれがないように努めた。時間、空間、運動、意識、理性、意志、知覚、記憶、感覚、感情、内観、予期・想起、意味、といった人間精神延いては生命の挙動を理解するための基礎的な概念の検討と体系化が進められてきたが、20世紀の知の潮流において、精神分析学における無意識への熱烈な関心、ジェイムズ、ベルクソン、ディルタイ、ジンメルら生の哲学と括られる論者が人間の身体と精神に秘められた本源的な躍動性を理解するために着眼した意識の流れ、知覚に繰り込まれた記憶、数量化を展開する科学と不可避的に結合する空間の概念に対して時間がもっている潜在性、精神を記述するための概念群と文体、相対性理論の登場による時空間に対する新たな唯物論的知見、は同時代、筆者が分析対象とする20世紀日本社会の知的・社会的状況、そして現代に大きな影響を及ぼしており、筆記/発話というコミュニケーションの区分は、意識に対して生成の現場であり流れであること、記憶の外在化であると同時に記憶そのものであること、社会の近代化における理性の表出あるいは感情の噴出と抑制であること、といった問題圏のなかに位置づけられる必要がある。また、メディア論の古典とされているマクルーハンの著作にも照らして、時空間や知覚、意識に対する上述の議論が活きている論点を確認することができた。
