项目摘要

概念的サビタイジング（具体物の数の集合について全体と部分の関係に着目することにより，瞬時に数を認識すること）は，幼小接続期の数の認識の発達と学びにとって重要な役割を果たす．幼小接続期の概念的サビタイジングの発達のプロセスを明らかにし，その発達を支える教育について検討することは，幼小接続期の豊かな数学的な認識の発達と学びにとって重要であるといえる．本年度は前年度の課題を踏まえて，調査方法を見直した上で，国立A大学附属学校園にて５歳児クラス在籍時から小学校第１学年時にかけて概念的サビタイジングの実態調査（追跡調査）を行った．その結果，概念的サビタイジングが小さな数（１～３または４）のサビタイジングを前提として発達することが確認されただけでなく，概念的サビタイジングの発達にとって「何らかの経験を通して全体と部分の関係に着目する力を獲得すること」が重要であることが見出された．また，小学校第１学年時に「数の合成・分解」に関する質問紙調査を行った結果，数７以外の数に対する概念的サビタイジングの能力と数の合成・分解の理解に相関関係があることが明らかとなった．さらに，幼小接続期の概念的サビタイジングの発達にとって「小さな数のサビタイジング」と「何らかの経験を通して全体と部分の関係に着目する力を獲得すること」が重要であることが示唆されたことを踏まえ，幼小接続期には「数のまとまりを意識する経験」と「見えない部分を思い浮かべたり考えたりする経験」が重要であると考えた．保育者に協力を依頼し，質問紙調査を実施し，遊びや生活の中で上述の二つの経験に関する具体的なエピソードを記述してもらった．その結果，後者の経験については幼児期には経験しにくい可能性が示唆された．以上のことを踏まえて，幼児期の経験を補うために就学当初に行うことが望ましい活動の提案を行った。
