项目摘要

今年度は、クルフ語と音韻・形態面で類似性の高いトダ語の語彙の収集と辞書への編集作業を集中的に行った。その結果、これまで出版されたトダ語の研究文献に加え、Peri Bhaskararao 教授が現地で収集した語彙集を電子化して、200ページ程度の辞書草稿を作成することができた。クルフ語に関しては、クルフ語の動詞形態法、なかでも過去語幹の形成法をドラヴィダ祖語にさかのぼり、論文 Proto-Dravidian origins of the Kurux-Malto past stems をイタリアの学術誌から公刊した。ここでは、クルフ語に母音で終わる語幹がないことを、語幹末の母音を声門閉鎖音化する音変化が起こったことで説明し、大多数の動詞の過去語幹が語幹の形によって予測可能であることを指摘し、ドラヴィダ祖語からクルフ語への発展過程を辿った。また、クルフ語動詞語幹の末尾にのみ現れる声門閉鎖音について、論文 The final glottal stop of the Kurux verb bases を投稿し、現在査読が行われている。この論文では、クルフ語の動詞語幹末の声門閉鎖音は、マルト語で y が対応する場合は母音 *i に由来し、マルト語で 0 が対応する場合は類推的拡張によって声門閉鎖音が付せられたという説明を試みた。そしてその類推的拡張の帰結として、声門閉鎖音で終わる語根の中に、過去語幹を接辞 -c で作るものと、ゼロ過去語幹を作るものができてしまい、クルフ語の動詞形態法に不透明性が生じたことを指摘した。そのほかのドラヴィダ語では、ブラーフイー語の録音書き起こしと翻訳、および語彙調査を行い、語源辞典に必要なデータを収集した。
