项目摘要

山崎闇斎とその学派における『近思録』の受容と解釈史を明らかにすることを目的とする本研究において、2022年度は昨年度に引き続き、千葉県文書館の旧蕪木文庫蔵の山崎闇斎の『近思録講義』に焦点をあて、その解読・翻字等、基礎的な資料調査を進めた。本調査の成果の一端として、『近思録講義』にみられる闇斎とその弟子との関係の様子を明らかにした。また、『近思録講義』を闇斎の『文会筆録』の『近思録』に関する箇所と闇斎の「近思録序」の内容との比較対照により、南宋の儒者であった葉采（しょうさい）の『近思録集解』に対する闇斎の見解について明らかにした。従来の理解と違い、闇斎は葉采の解釈に対して全面的に否定的ではなく、彼が葉采の注を積極的採用しているところもあることがわかった。さらに、闇斎とその学派における『近思録』理解・研究の全体像を把握するため、崎門派における『近思録』の読書順についても調査を行った。周知のように『近思録』は道学の入門書として、四書（『大学』、『論語』、『孟子』、『中庸』）を読む前の階梯として朱熹らによって作成された。しかし、その内容の難解さにより日本の朱子学派の儒者はほとんど四書の入門書として『近思録』を利用していない。ただし、本研究の調査により、闇斎をはじめとする崎門派は、三宅尚斎を除く、『近思録』を初学者用の入門書として勧めていることがわかった。以上の成果を今後順次発表する予定である。闇斎の『近思録講義』の翻刻と解題の一部も次年度学会誌に発表する予定である。
