本研究は地方寺院に所属する僧侶達の交流実態の解明を目指すものである。そのために、近世徳島における真言宗僧の修学・教授活動の中核寺院であった東明山大谷院童学寺と瑞龍山無盡蔵院正興寺に保存されている文献の調査研究を行う。正興寺は、新安流と呼ばれる法流の祖である浄厳（1639－1702）、その高弟である蓮体（1663－1726）の教えを受けた寂如（1665－1741）によって享保10年（1725）年に創建された。童学寺は寂如が正興寺創建以前に住持していた寺院であり、以後も密接な関係を保ちながら伝法灌頂や一流伝授を開く道場であったことが知られている。2ヵ寺の文献調査は昨年度から行っていたが、初年度としては、研究代表者と分担者が協力して所蔵文献の悉皆調査を行うための体制作りを行った。所蔵函ごとに文献番号をつけ、所定の調書に書誌事項を記し、全冊の写真撮影を行い、画像を文献番号順に整理した。その結果、今年度までで正興寺は聖教9函分、童学寺は聖教19函に加え、文書3函分の文献を確認することができた。文書を保存するための封筒は新たに作成した。正興寺の歴代住職については『正興寺』（吉田寛如、正興寺開創250周年記念会、1974年）に記載があり、原卓志「正興庵歴代住職の安祥寺流相承と国伝山地蔵寺所蔵の血脉二種」（『鳴門教育大学研究紀要』36巻、2021年）によって検討されているが、童学寺については不明である。今年度は聖教の奥書等の確認に加えて墓碑をも解読することにより、歴代住職やその他の童学寺所属僧、聖教の貸し借りや一流伝授等で様々な関係があった寺院や僧が判明しつつある。
