種々の高機能な製品が開発されるにつれ,その製品に関するマニュアルの重要さは増加する一方である.しかし,マニュアルに書かれている知識は読みやすさ,内容の構造化の度合などで依然として問題が多い.このような状況を鑑み研究では,「多様な利用ができるマニュアルの枠組」ならびに「情報ナビゲーション」を融合した知的マニュアルの基礎的考察を行なっている.研究計画ではそれぞれの年度においてそれぞれの要素技術を確立する予定であったが,本年度は両者の知見を得ることができた.以下に概要を示す.・マニュアル文に現れるゼロ代名詞推定システム 個々の条件表現の性質により,動作主を決定することができることを示した.(「情報ナビゲーション」に関連)・推定された結果を応用したマニュアル閲覧システム 推定された動作主を用いて,利用者の行なうべき動作と機器が自動的に行なう動作を分離表示するマニュアル閲覧システムを構築した.(「情報ナビゲーション」に関連)索引語の自動抽出 語が複合名詞を形成するしやすさに注目することにより,重要語を抽出できることを示した.抽出された索引語を利用した学習型ハイパーテキスト生成システム 抽出された索引語各々に対して,それが文書中に現れた時に,説明箇所であるかあるいは単なる参照箇所であるかを表層表現から推定し,適切にハイパーリンクを設定するシステムを構築した.複数文書に渡るマニュアルの自動ハイパーテキスト生成システム 複数分冊に跨るマニュアルにおいて,文書中の関連箇所を自動的に推定するシステムを構築した.
