项目摘要

本研究の主眼は家庭における食品廃棄の削減に向けた介入の効果測定にあるが、今年度は有効な介入策の検討、効果測定の手法の詳細の検討、調査地の選定と自治体への説明・打診等を行った。介入策や測定方法については研究計画に沿って研究メンバー(代表者・分担者)の間で検討を行ってきた。介入策については最終的には協力自治体との協議で確定されることとなるが、分かりやすさ・取り組みやすさの観点から、冷蔵庫整理グッズの配布・使用奨励と、定期的な冷蔵庫内の写真撮影の提案が最有力候補となった。方法論の詳細については、国内外の学会発表のほか、本研究メンバーが委員を務める European Consumer Food Waste Forum (ECFWF) における議論においても本研究会の手法を紹介し、それが妥当でありECFWFも推奨する方法として合意を得ることができた。また同じく本研究メンバーが参加する UNEP Asia Pacific Food Waste Working Group においても、報告・検討がなされた。食品廃棄物組成調査手法の詳細については、東京都内を中心に国内で実施された組成調査に多数立会い・視察を行い、これらの事例から手法改善へのヒントを得ることができ、またこれらの調査を請負った事業者に本研究の意図・趣旨を説明し、本研究の補助事業者としてそれに沿って正確な調査が可能かを確認した。調査地については、東京都内の自治体での実施の方向で複数の自治体に説明・打診を行い、多摩地区と23区内の2自治体が実施可能な候補となったが、実験区と類似した特性の対象区の設定の容易さや、以前から食品廃棄削減への介入策について区と共同研究を行ってきた経緯から23区内のA自治体を最終候補として調整を進めているところである。
