A single molecule real-time DNA sequencing facility: A PacBio SMRT sequencing facility will be established and used to accelerate ten specific research programs across a breadth of biological disciplines at two institutions. A specialised high throughput DNA sequencing technology called Single Molecule Real-Time (SMRT) sequencing developed by Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) is revolutionising biological research.
