Principal Investigator/Program Director (Last, First, Middle): Grollman, Arthur P DESCRIPTION: ADMINISTRATIVE CORE Functions of the administrative core of this Program include (1) providing central administrative support for the program (2) bringing prominent scientists to Stony Brook to present research seminars on allied topics and to meet with all program participants and (3) coordinating the efforts of the Advisory Panel who will counsel the Principal Investigator on the scope of the Program project and Project Directors on the direction of their individual projects. Project Directors constitute an Executive Committee who meet regularly with the Principal Investigator to discuss research and coordinate collaborations among Program Project participants. The Advisory Committee holds meeting at Stony Brook and,in the interim serve as scientific consultants to the Program. A part-time administrative assistant facilitates all administrative operations.
