项目摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the
resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and
investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,
and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is
for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.
We have developed a stopped-flow flow cytometer with subsecond resolution to be used in kinetic analysis of cell activation. This instrument is extending the application of flow cytometry to important biological molecules that interact with cell surface receptors or can be linked to beads. The device is operational, and can be used for reactions to100 msec time resolution. It is presently being used for analysis of adhesion and signal transduction ligands and enzymatic assays.
