With this proposal, our goal is to replace the Department of Biology's non-functional and obsolete Bio-Rad phosphorimager with a GE Healthcare Typhoon Trio Variable Mode Imager. The Typhoon Trio would not only replace but also enhance our previous capacity in that this instrument is capable of fluorescence (proteins and dyes) and chemiluminescence imaging in addition to radioisotopes imaging using phosphor storage screens. The variable mode imaging capacity of the proposed instrument will be key in supporting the NSERC-funded research programs of principal investigator from the Biology Department at Concordia University
