The overarching theme behind the proposed research program involves thermal-science investigations of pipeline systems that are integral to energy recovery and distribution processes. The research program can be summarized under two major headings: i) fluid mechanic investigations with the intent to improve energy efficiency during energy recovery processes; and ii) thermodynamic investigations for improving energy efficiency during the energy distribution process.
