Information on the variability of different soil attributes within a field is essential to optimize management of agroecosystems. On-the-go proximal soil sensing is the most promising strategy to obtain much-needed high-density measurements of key soil properties. Although different sensing platforms have been developed around the world, their deployment has been limited by the lack of knowledge in the areas of sensor fusion, data mining and interpretation. This project will focus on addressing these issues through development of an integrated sensing technology.
