项目摘要
The aim of this project is to develop a non-contact method to measure transmission components using a software interface to collect data and report the results. At the end of this project, we will have a high speed device that is capable of measuring a family of components and reporting the results in a concise and user friendly environment. The goal is to measure a component in less than two minutes. This provides users with a real time result to make adjustments to the manufacturing process and also to provide end users with traceable certifications. At present, this operation is done using a touch probe Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) which takes 10-20 minutes per part to get the results depending on the degree of details required.
