Currently, implanted radioactive fiducials or transcutaneous wires are widely used to locate cancer tumors. In this project a new methodology based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology will be developed for tumors positioning. We will attempt to use RFID passive tags as an alternative to radioactive or wire fiducials.
