Consumer EEG (Electroencephalography) is an important emerging technology relevant to the gaming industry: the information it provides about mental state could be used during game development and game play to support a richer experience. By utilizing the information contained in EEG signals, we aim to overcome inherent limitations that exist when measuring aspects of user experience during game play. We propose to combine measures of EEG, in-game telemetry and subjective reports from players as they play one of EA's title video games (FIFA). By capturing these data sources in tandem, we can examine what relationships are present.
