Xeroflor offers a full range of green roof products and systems in Canada. In particular, they specialize in extensive (i.e. green roofs with a thin layer of growing media) green roof systems that are economical, light-weight, and low maintenance. One of its core product lines is the pre-vegetated mats. This consists of a low-profile vegetation carrier made of 3D entangled polymeric coils bonded to a geotextile or fleece, filled with an engineered growing medium, and pre-grown with vegetation in the nursery. When these flexible textile-based mats are ready for harvest, they are cut, rolled up, and transported to the roof to be unrolled and installed on top of a preinstalled water retention fleece, rockwool, and/or other growing media.
