项目摘要

Camosun College is pleased to be announcing Camosun Innovates (formerly CARI) will be starting a new research partnership with Seaflora Skincare Inc., a Sooke BC company that has pioneered the use of fresh, local wild seaweeds in their certified organic skincare product line. This partnership will involve a 6 month Engage Grants for Colleges grant with Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). This project will provide scientific evidence of the "benefits of seaweed skincare", which will be used in Seaflora Skincare Inc.'s marketing materials. This would give Seaflora Skincare Inc's existing clients confidence in the benefits of seaweed skincare, thereby increasing sales. With a well-developed and characterized product there is large growth opportunity and room to expand into the global skincare market.
