英文摘要
Health Outcomes Worldwide Corp. (HOW) is interested in developing imaging technologies for rapid assessment of wound healing progress in both outpatient and inpatient settings particularly for chronic wounds. Currently, the "how2trak®" system from HOW facilitates data management of the digitized and standardized RGB pictures of the wounds. Considering the company's strategy, an innovative Wound Imaging System (WIS) can be used as an adjuvant future company's product to the recent digital RGB imaging. This system can track the wound healing process physiology acquiring information of bio-optic significance such as oxy- and reduced hemoglobin, water concentration, collagen density along with the presence of infectious contamination in wounds. Ryerson University will contribute by conducting research to analyze and optimize design options for the HOW Wound Imaging System (WIS), which will be used both at a patient's home and in a clinical environment.
